Last week, Beyond the Arena was interviewed by Amy Bourdo, Executive Director of EDF and Anita Kumar-Gill, MD, Program Administrator of EDF. The purpose of the interview process was to become a group/class facilitator at The Eating Disorder Foundation's new eating disorder support center, A Place of Our Own®.
I'm thrilled to share that Beyond the Arena will be starting a six-week class in April, Horses Changing Lives Class Series, for members of the Support Center. Members will alternate between three classroom sessions and three field trips to the ranch to learn about and experience how a connection with horses assists people in the eating disorder recovery process.
"A Place of Our Own® is opening Feb 1, 2012 and we are ready to welcome you for a broad range of classes and support groups designed to enhance eating disorder recovery or for informal drop-in visits for those wishing to talk, find time to be alone or meet people on the recovery journey."~from the EDF website

Beyond the Arena is honored to partner with EDF and to share the profound and healing impact that horses have on those who desire to make big strides in their eating disorder recovery process.
